Due to this recently awarded honor when a new member signs up for an extra $15 you will receive a Affiliate membership for one year and you can choose to receive a one year subscription to either Smithsonian Magazine or Air & Space Magazine normally a $48 dollar value for the subscription alone. The San Diego Air & Space Museum has member activities all year long guaranteed to entertain, educate and delight. These activities include: special banquets, golf tournaments, lectures and open houses along with many more exciting events. How would you like to sit down to dinner to find out your table-mate is an astronaut who circled the Moon? Or a pilot who participated in the Battle of Midway at the controls of a Wildcat? Or a pilot who flew with the Blue Angels?

Individual and corporate donations help support simulator labs, education programs and field trips for young people. Donations are the key to acquiring new aircraft and provide the funds for restoration supplies and equipment. Membership contributions helped restore the Ford Tri-Motor, MiG-17, F4F Wildcat and built a flying replica of the "Spirit of St. Louis".
