Birthday Parties

Docent Tours

To enhance your experience, trained Docents (tour guides) are available. We can arrange a sufficient number of docents to be on hand for your event (a two-docent minimum); a museum tour can be tailored to suit your group's needs. There is no additional charge for this service.

Catering

The caterer you select will guarantee the success of your event. A good caterer will do everything for you, from the initial party planning through the last-minute details. Click here for a list of preferred caterers who have experience working in our facility. These caterers are familiar with the museum's layout, rules and regulations. If you choose a caterer that is not on this list, we require that a representative from the catering company meet with us before the final approval of the event is given.

Max-Flight Simulator Ride

The Dual-Seater is ready to duel! The 360-degree pitch, roll, spin and spiral action is real while riders fly any one of Max-Flight's combat and flight training programs on a huge 58" screen in the cockpit. Faster, sharper and more exciting than any indoor thrill-ride on the market, the FS2000 lets guests be pilot or gunner or both as they engage in interactive dog fighting, carrier landings, flight training and aerobatic maneuvers with the finest, most realistic graphics available.

F-22 Raptor Interactive Ride

You will have the ability to be the pilot or copilot in the cockpit of an F-22 Raptor. You are in total control of the ride, with the ability to bank, dive, climb, do a full 360 degree barrel roll, and fire your weapons.

Flight Adventure Center

This exhibit consists of eight stations completely equipped with joystick, throttle and pedal controls to maneuver the fighter through awesome air-to-air combat with your family and friends. On most days the set-up uses a "one" via many (everyone), however it can also provide team competition. If you are ready to take out a few bandits in some great dog fighting action the Flight Adventure Center is for you.

Flight Simulator

The San Diego Air & Space Museum’'s Flight Simulator allows visitors to experience what it feels like to fly aboard the Piper Cub. You are sitting in the cockpit with realistic flight instruments and controls enjoying the thrills and satisfaction of flying an airplane over San Diego. Instructors will teach you the skills required to safely take off, fly and land.
